Kathleen Busch, Associate Pastor

kathleen

Kathleen’s main roles at SCC include pastoral care, oversight of youth groups and adult small groups as well as occasional preaching. Her desire is to see people slow down enough to hear God’s voice in a noisy world. Having spent about 20 years travelling, in 2005 Kathleen returned to Vancouver Island to be rooted here, and be involved within a community of God’s people.

She grew up in Nanaimo where she became a Christian as a teenager. Since then she has been involved in various roles - working as a youth pastor, Bible college professor and as Residence Director at a christian university. Kathleen has a BA in Psychology, a Master’s in Christian Studies from Regent College, Vancouver, and is working towards a Doctor of Ministry. In 2009, Kathleen finalized the adoption of her foster daughter, Hannah and will be taking an adoption leave from mid-May to Sept. 1, 2010.
